WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF AN ADJUSTABLE BED?
This allows the body to rest in a reclining position either forward or reverse recline. This also helps clients to move in the bed and get back into a position if you have movement limitations or disabilities.
Our Hi-Lo power beds can also be customised for customers who require an extra long frame. We can also tailor the finished bed to include padded comfort edges to protect skin, custom fascia heights to create a slimline look, as well as tailored fabric options for a home care look. We can also design a matching headboard to suit your preference.
Our customisable adjustable beds and mattresses come with a range of additional features to ensure maxim support and comfort for your individual needs. Each bed can be fitted with massage features, zero gravity (complete feeling of weightlessness), and bluetooth connectivity.
Each adjustable bed comes with wireless and wired remotes that are back lit, for easy viewing of display controls at night. This ensures you don’t need to leave the comfort of your bed to adjust the settings to your desired level of comfort. We also have custom made scanning bed remote controls to suit special needs, and ensure you have the best support and comfort settings possible.
Due to the levels of comfort, support and height setting, our adjustable beds provide much needed assistance in relieving pressure, and stress on your body. They also assist in elevating ankles, legs and feet and can help increase blood flow to the body, and reduce fluid retention and swelling.
With the range of height settings, adjustable beds are a great solution for customers who have snoring and sleep apnea related symptoms. As the bed can be elevated, posture and breathing are improved significantly, aiding in reduced snoring and restless sleep.
TESTIMONIALS
Grace and Peter Cruickshank
“My husband who is severely disabled and myself have slept on a queen size waterbed for over 25 years. The waterbed was initially recommended to save pressure areas. We were never going to come off our waterbed but due to worsening health conditions we had to look at a bed that offered near complete inbuilt protection and high/low capabilities.
We met Andrew who was recommended through an occupational therapist and we have never looked back. We followed the process of bed mapping to show how we slept. I did this as well and then we tried several mattresses in the store, and Andrew was able to bring some for my husband to try using a hoist at our home.
Andrew whose primary role wouldn't be for people with a disability offers a most wonderful service, he is a very genuine and caring person and this shows in his service, excellent. Most bedding shops we had walked into previously staff had hidden at the thought of how hard we would be to help.
We are now nearly a year on our new bed and have never looked back, my husband’s hip doesn't show signs of pressure and I am more comfortable than I was on my waterbed, I was very concerned.
Part of Andrew's brief was to keep our bedroom looking as normal (not enormously modified to the needs of a severely disabled person) he managed it perfectly our bedroom is beautiful. Andrew was even able to make a customised bed head that matches the bed base in our choice of fabrics.
Andrew has since helped us replace my husband’s hospital bed (weekday) mattress by following the same process and each time carefully working with our Occupational Therapist and us to get everything right.
He has been able to give us advice on pillows and mattress protectors, which have all helped enormously with pressure care, and care of an old worn out wife.
Our thanks to Andrew, we wouldn't hesitate recommending him to anyone.”
