Extra Long MediSleep Oxley - Hi-Lo Adjustable Base

Customisable extra-long adjustable bed that combines the practical functions of a home care bed with the appearance and comfort of a personalised upholstered bed.

Extra Length Where It Matters

Unlike many extra-long adjustable beds that add a fixed extension at the foot end, the Extra Long Oxley is lengthened through the adjustable backrest itself.

We extend the backrest platform by 150 mm, increasing the mattress surface from 2030 mm to 2180 mm. This length can also be customised upon request. The upholstered bed surround is also extended and reupholstered to match, allowing a full-length custom mattress (which we specialise in) to sit directly on the adjustable platform with no separate fixed foot section and no mattress bolster required.

This means the entire sleeping surface remains supported by the adjustable bed mechanism, so all functions can be used without part of the mattress resting on a static extension.

The additional length is deliberately incorporated at the head and backrest end, where it provides greater usable space through the upper body for taller users. Rather than simply adding length beyond the feet, the Oxley is modified where the additional space can make a meaningful difference to fit, positioning and comfort.

Choose Your Own Upholstery
Personalise the Oxley to make it your own. Choose from a large selection of fabrics at our showroom or you can even source your own fabric. The chosen fabric will be used for the upholstered bed surround, and any headboards or footboards. All upholstery work is completed in Australia. Additional charges may apply depending on fabric choice.

Integrated Headboard and Footboard
The optional headboard and footboard are securely attached to the bed frame, meaning they will travel up and down with the base when the Hi-Lo feature is used. The height of both the headboard and footboard can also be customised to suit individual preferences.

Two integrated upholstery designs are available:

1. Duke: A simple rectangular design.
   
2. Cardiff: A rectangular design with your choice of contrasting or coordinated piping.

No-Gap Headboard Design
This fills in the gap between the backrest and the headboard, minimising the chance of pillows falling into the area.

Note on Split Bed Configurations
The Split Queen has independent head and foot adjustment on each side within one unified base platform. Hi-Lo and Trendelenburg move both sides together however, affecting both users.

The Split King and Split Grand King use two separate, fully independent bases, so each side can adjust its head, foot, Hi-Lo and tilt without affecting the other.
